Sydney- The Manly Wharf Hotel
The Wharf Bar– shiny slick, hip, and ever so convieniant. Lovingly known by locals as The Wharf Bar , the actual name is the Manly Wharf Hotel. The coolest new lounge music plays discreetly above the roar of the afterwork crowd that gathers each night at this perfect stop just steps from the ferry. Signature cocktails, beer, wine, a new eating establishment, and the outside Jetty Bar (which actually is on the deck over the water) all are designed to entertain and allow for the appreciation of Manly’s naturally gorgeous surroundings.
Man- the best thing- you can come in boardies (surf shorts) or a shirt and tie (dress regulations apply in the evening). In fact you quite often see both sitting at the same table. A mixed crowd of 20’s on up, the prices are average bar prices, but the staff… some how…this is one of those places that manages to find a never ending supply of truly attractive people. The uniforms they have chosen do little to hide that fact either (he he… totally above board but both sexes seem to appreciate “the scenery”).
A perfect spot to wait for the ferry with indoor and outdoor seating, space heaters, a pool table, and TV’s to watch the sporting match du jour. $12 Tuedays- (pizza and a beer) and Family Hour (from 5:30 to 6:30) are a couple of their more popular new promotions. The Wharf Bar isn’t exactly a comfy place- but it is extremely cheerful, the vibe energetic, the scenery stunning, AND- you can watch the ferries come and go. A great place for Sunday drinks or to meet and start your Manly night of fun.
