Dingo smuggling racket exposed

DINGO pups are being smuggled out of the Northern Territory and sold on overseas black markets for $5000, the Sunday Territorian learned last night. The puppies are in huge demand as pets in the United States, Israel and Asia.

Dingo expert Barry Oakman said two pups found in a cardboard box in a Darwin backpacker hostel locker last year were definitely being smuggled out of the country.
